About the event
In this interactive workshop, author David Ambroz aims to inspire young people to recognize the power of their personal stories and will offer practical guidance on how to share them. Drawing from his own experiences with foster care and homelessness, as recounted in his memoir, David will explore how storytelling can promote healing, boost confidence, build connections, and inspire change.
Participants will take part in guided writing exercises and have the chance to practice public speaking by sharing their stories with peers in a supportive setting.
By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to see the value and impact of personal storytelling, learn techniques for crafting authentic and compelling narratives, reflect on their experiences to identify meaningful moments to share, build confidence in expressing themselves through writing and speaking, and practice public speaking skills in a safe and supportive environment.
